The “Other” Weed Control Programs - Do Not
Traditional competitor business models combine with their fertilizer product herbicides, insecticides etc. - the notorious weed and feed fertilizer products. And worse than these weed and feed fertilizer products are the tanker trucks that literally “hose” down your lawn with a toxic unsafe chemical stew. They do this irrespective of actual weed status. And if it can get worse it does, These excessive toxic applications are repeated 4/5, sometimes 6 times over the course of the growing season. The result, higher unsafe chemical exposure to family and pets, and often overlooked - the decimation of the soil substrate and microbial ecosystem. The result is significant overapplication of toxic lawn chemicals. A scary 80 Million pounds reported applied on Residential lawns in 2024! Holy Toledo! 80 million pounds! NUTS! Completely unnessary!
NOT US - We have a very different operating philosophy!
Our objective is to minimize chemicals applied – use only the amount that is needed, no more. We recognize growing grass and managing weeds are two entirely different functions. For growing great healthy grass we use only very high quality fertilizers, always absent herbicides insecticides etc. , just a great food source for the grass.
Our weed management approach:
For weed management we use exclusively a targeted approach. After the granular fertilizer application our technicians walk the property again, systematically, carefully spot treating the weeds with a liquid herbicide - using only what is necessary.
This two step process is a much more labor intensive approach for us, but it is how we minimize chemicals applied, using only what is needed.,
AND VERY IMPORTANT: We want feedback and encourage our Customers to send us a simple text or email any time we need to be back on the property for weed treatment. We don’t care if its 2 or3 weeds or 6. It is to our advantage to always stay on top of and way ahead of the weeds. We love communication.
Never an extra charge for spot weed work - part of the service!
We are local, always in the area so we can respond promptly. We send out a dedicated weed route weekly, we just put your address on that route.
